Small Groups

The theme of our small group ministry is to Worship Him, apply His Word, and Walk in His truth.

In Worship, we acknowledge "that, just as it is written, let him who boasts, boast in the Lord"(I Cor. 1:31). Voicing our praise together echoes the desire of the psalmist in Psalms 89:1, "I will sing of the lovingkindness of the Lord forever; to all generations I will make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth."

In the Word, Romans 12:1-2 captures the vision of this ministry. "I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

Micah 6:8 beautifully sums up our Walk. "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

South Hill Bible Church offers a variety of small groups and topics. Some of our groups use discussion questions to study the Scripture passages as presented in the Sunday morning sermons. DVD series such as Focus on the Family's The Truth Project and That the World May Know are also being studied. Get connected and join a small group! You'll be glad you did!
