What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mother's of Preschoolers, a program for mothers with children under school age, infant through Kindergarten. MOPS groups gather in churches throughout the United States, Canada and eleven other countries to meet the needs of more than 100,000 women each year.

MOPS is comprised of mothers, not all the same age, but all in the same phase of life. MOPS provides encouragement, support, teaching and friendships. In these relationships formed at MOPS moms find answers for their simple, everyday dilemmas and discover a safe place to explore deeper principles for life-building in order to be the best moms they can be.

If you would like information on how to join the South Hill Bible Church MOPS Group contact our church office at 838-2242 or just come on the third Friday of each month from September through May. Meetings begin at 9 a.m. and finish up at 11:00 a.m. We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall at South Hill Bible Church.

Our FREE childcare called MOPPETS is a fun-loving environment for children 0–5 years of age where they can play games, do activities and make friends their own age. Our screened MOPPETS volunteers are looking forward to getting to know your child and have lots of fun things planned for the smallest member of your family.
